It’s just Christmas lights, out of focus :)
So this is probably really lame that I want to point this out.. but I work at urban outfitters and I think it is so cool how much you love the store! I have been reading through the back logs of your tumblr here and that's how I figured it out. Also where you live looks really beautiful! I live in texas so I don't get to see the type of scenery that you do... (I saved a bunch of your landscape photos that I liked to use as backgrounds on my computer, hope thats okay!) A couple other things that I wanted to say are that I think we could totally be friends if we met in real life. We seems to have the same movie/music taste and I loveeee making mix tapes for people! To bad I can't make one for you, haha :) Oh and also, yes, it totally makes me mad when I find out about a song that no one told me about.. so that gives you an idea of how far back I read. But I really enjoy reading your stuff, I like how you write.
Aw, messages like this make me feel bad for neglecting this blog, haha. We really do seem to have a lot in common, and it’s really flattering that you’ve saved my pictures :)
How long have you been a photographer and poet?
I’ve been taking pictures since I was like 14 I think, but I’ve only really identified myself as a photographer in the last year. I don’t call myself a poet, but I’ve been writing poetry for a little over 2 years.
I hate quitting things. I just don’t do it. But my 365 is dragging me down. I thought it would be cool and exciting to do it through my senior year and up into college… No. It’s just added one more thing to the never ending list of crap I have to do right now. It’s making photography feel like a chore, and I never want that. Photography is my escape, and the quality of my photos since I’ve been doing my 365 has actually decreased in my opinion, so for that reason, I’m abandoning it. I might try it again in a year or so when I’m settled in at college and have some new scenery, but right now I think it’s just not going to work. So I’m going to go back to posting pictures of whatever I want, whenever I want, and hopefully they’ll be good again :)
Can you name all of the instruments you play and how long you've been playing them?
Bass - 4 years
Guitar - 2 and a half years
Piano - 1 year
And in the past year I’ve picked up mandolin and upright bass and I can also make pretty sick beats with a drum machine :)
